LAPD Station Jails
In addition to LASD facilities, the Los Angeles Police Department operates holding facilities at individual police stations throughout the city. Individuals arrested by LAPD are typically held at the arresting station before being transferred to an LASD facility or released.

How Bail Works at an LA County Jail
Booking
After arrest, the individual is booked at a facility. Booking includes fingerprinting, photographing, and recording charges. A bail amount may be set based on the bail schedule or by a judge.
Bail Set
