LAPD Arrests and Bail
When someone is arrested by the LAPD, they are typically held at the arresting division's station jail while booking is processed. Depending on the charges and available space, they may be released from the station or transferred to an LASD facility such as Twin Towers Correctional Facility or Men's Central Jail.
Bail amounts for LAPD arrests are set according to the Los Angeles County bail schedule or by a judge at arraignment. A bail bond can be arranged once a bail amount is set — before or after transfer to an LASD facility.
